Dr Gerard Tan

Dr Gerard Tan is the Medical Director of NeuGlow, a medical aesthetics clinic in Singapore. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1990 and began practising aesthetic medicine in 2004, following earlier work in emergency medicine and community medical practice.
His clinical work includes the assessment and management of pigmentation, acne and acne scarring, skin texture, and age-related changes in facial appearance. His experience encompasses laser and ultrasound-based treatments, as well as injectable treatments and biostimulatory approaches. He began using Ultherapy in clinical practice in 2010.
Alongside clinical practice, Dr Tan has served as a speaker and trainer for doctors on Ultherapy, Radiesse and Belotero Revive. His teaching engagements have included workshops at NeuGlow in Singapore and in Surabaya, Indonesia. His continuing medical education has included workshops locally and overseas.
Dr Tan’s approach begins with understanding each patient’s concerns, medical history, previous treatments and goals. He discusses whether treatment is appropriate, the available options and alternatives, and relevant benefits, limitations, risks and recovery.
Care is planned individually, with follow-up to assess treatment response and review ongoing needs. Patient education is central to this process, helping patients make informed decisions without needing to choose a procedure before their consultation.

Dr Liew Kou Chuen, known as Dr KC Liew, is a doctor at NeuGlow, a medical aesthetics clinic in Singapore. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1990 and began practising aesthetic medicine in 2004, following earlier work in general medical practice.
His clinical work includes laser treatments for skin rejuvenation, and he has a particular interest in the assessment and management of hair concerns. He has attended local and international workshops and courses as part of his continuing professional development.
Dr Liew’s approach begins with understanding each patient’s concerns, medical history, previous treatments and expectations. He discusses suitable options, their potential benefits and limitations, relevant risks and alternatives, including whether treatment is appropriate.
Patient education and follow-up support this process, helping patients understand their options and review their response before deciding on further treatment or maintenance.
Dr Liew and Dr Gerard Tan have been medical partners for more than 30 years, working together in general practice before moving into aesthetic medicine. Their connection extends beyond their professional partnership: they were classmates in Primary One.
