Vascular lesions are skin conditions that occur as a result of abnormalities in the skin and/or the underlying tissues. Common vascular lesions can be categorised under these categories – haemangiomas, vascular malformations, pyogenic granulomas, etc.

Leg and facial veins are a commonly occurring condition wherein a group of blood vessels beneath the skin become dilated. These are commonly called spider veins, which occur mainly in the face and legs, but could appear anywhere in the body.

As the skin ages, or gets overly exposed to sun and UV rays, it tends to get damaged and looses its elasticity and bounciness. This causes saggy and/or loose skin, that can occur on any part of the body including eyelids, chin, cheeks, neck, jowls, abdomen, upper arms, etc.

Xanthelasma can be defined as harmless, yellow growths that appear on or near the eyelids and nose. It often occurs as a result of cholesterol build-up beneath the skin near the region. Haemangiomas are bright red birthmarks that often appear in babies in the early weeks post-birth. It appears as a rubbery lump of varying sizes, as occurs mainly due to an accumulation of extra blood vessels underneath the skin.

Melasma can be defined as dark patches that appear on the surface of the skin. It is often observed in pregnant women, or those post childbirth, and can appear as brownish or greyish patches on certain parts of the body.

Skin pigmentation and brown spots are a common occurrence in many, and can be of various types. Depending upon the type of skin as well as others factors such as genetics and age, skin pigmentation and spots that appear on skin can be different.

Skin tags are small and benign growths that are attached to the skin’s surface by a thin stalk, formed by layers of fibre, blood vessels and collagen wrapped in a thin layer of skin.

Moles can be defined as growths on the skin that develop as a result of melanocytes (pigment cells) growing in groups. They often appear during childhood and can range from dark brown ones, to even skin tone or pink ones.
